封闭母线的类型有很多种，但通常按其绝缘方式可分为四种:空气型插接母线槽、密集型插接母线槽、空气绝缘型插接母线槽和高强式插接母线槽。

  1.空气型插接母线槽。此母线槽乃引用外国母线槽雏形技术，它以铜排导电，另加绝缘隔相块隔开铜排，外加金属壳体封闭。是我国第一代母线槽产品，由于技术上的缺陷，对防尘、防潮、防止小动物进入母线本体等方面做得不够全面因而常出现事故，现已基本淘汰。

 2.密集型插接母线槽。它采用了电解铜排做导电材料，经加工折弯成型，采用聚四氟乙烯薄膜包扎，再用阻燃PVC热缩套管经热缩定型，相位铜排相互压紧之后，则名为封闭母线。程度上解决了防止小动物进入而出现的事故问题，而且相对占用的安装空间较小。但此母线槽由于线与线铜排紧压在一起，防潮、散热效果较差。 
2 Intensive busbar installation.   3.空气绝缘型插接母线槽。它综合了空气型母线槽与密集绝缘插接母线槽的结构特点，即导电铜排采用耐高温高压的聚四氟乙烯薄膜包扎后，再加隔相垫块把相位铜排隔开，从而起到双重绝缘的作用。其优点是价格实惠、且使用比较安全;其不足之处是机械强度差，防护等级尚不能满足使用环境的需要，特别不适合南方潮湿的天气。 
3 air insulated busbar installation. Its advantage is the most affordable price, and the use is safe; the disadvantage is poor mechanical strength, degree of protection cannot meet the need to use environment, especially not suitable for South humid weather.
  4.高强式插接母线槽。此母线槽引进欧美技术，母线导电铜排采用聚四氟乙烯薄膜包扎后，加PVC热缩套管固定，采用冷轧板成型机压成凹凸相间的波纹形来进行相位铜排绝缘，其导电铜排固定在凹槽内。此母线槽集空气与封闭母线的优点，既能承受较强的电动力，又具较好的散热性能，加上波纹形的外壳结构，令其承载能力大大加强，封闭母线水平段可生产至15m长，且在6m柱距的空间可以不用支撑，解决了跨度安装无法支撑的难题。其缺点是:如出现接头处发热以及超负荷运行发热而使绝缘材料伸缩，导致电流通过上下盖板出现短路或漏电事故。

4 high strength type connecting bus groove. The drawback is: as a result of the joint heating and overload operation heating and insulating material expansion, leading to the current through the upper and lower cover plate is short circuit or leakage accident.
